Microclima simile a quello di una dolina. La conca di Prada è delimitata a sud e ovest da pareti rocciose (più scoscese quelle a sud), mentre sugli altri versanti è delimitata da pendii dolci e prativi.. In questa conca vi scorre il torrente "Rio Negro" che, dopo averla attraversata scava una stretta forra fra le rocce. Inversioni termiche generalmente sui 4-i 9 gradi di differenza col vicino paese di Miola (stazione Davis), ma occasionalmente e in condizioni particolari possono anche avvicinarsi ai 15
