La stazione è ubicata a S.W dal centro abitato di Chiuro, comune di fondovalle della media Valtellina a ridosso del versante Orobico a 200 metri dal fiume Adda. Zona poco soleggiata nel periodo invernale,limite minimo soleggiamento ore 2 (per circa 40 giorni),molto soleggiata in estate. Quindi clima abbastanza freddo e umido durante l'inverno caldo e ventilato nella stagione estiva.
