Tambre è un paese in provincia di Belluno che collega il Pian Cansiglio (sede di importanti inversioni termiche) con il fondovalle, nella conca dell'Alpago. La stazione è esposta ad ovest verso la Valle del Piave e gode di ottimo soleggiamento. In inverno sono frequenti le nevicate anche se in genere con spessori limitati e transitori, in estate a giornate molto calde possono seguire rapidi peggioramenti ad opera di celle temporalesche che spesso si formano nei pomeriggi afosi sulle montagne circostanti. E' anche possibile osservare intense piogge legate ad avvezioni di aria dai quadranti meridionali.
