Chieri è situata sul versante orografico esposto a SE della collina torinese. E' nella zona precollinare a circa 13 km ad ESE di Torino. Essendo comunque sia una zona prevalentemente pianeggiante, risente notevolmente delle inversioni termiche notturne, in particolare nel periodo invernale. Le precipitazioni annue ammontano a circa 745 mm, e per lo più concentrate in primavera ed autunno. La nevosità media si aggira sui 40 cm annui.
