La c.da Risana rappresenta il punto piu' alto delle Murge Sudorientali. Ubicata nel territorio comunale di Martina Franca (TA), la localita' è caratterizzata da un clima più continentale rispetto alle zone limitrofe, essendo abbastanza distante sia dal mare Adriatico sia dal mare Ionio. Essendo in sostanza un altopiano interno, gode di una discreta escursione termica ed e' esposta spesso alla formazione di temporali di calore durante i mesi estivi, per la convergenza della correnti marine nelle ore centrali sul crinale collinare. L'altitutidine oltre i 500 la rende più nevosa rispetto alle localita' circostanti poste mediamente sui 400 m di altezza
