La località dista circa 12 Km in linea d'aria dal mare ma in estate si registrano temperature massime piuttosto alte rispetto alle aree limitrofe, trovandosi in una vallata e risentendo poco della brezza marina. Al contrario, in inverno le temperature minime sono spesso più basse, anche di diversi gradi rispetto alle stazioni limitrofe, per via delle frequenti inversioni termiche.
