Roccacerro è una frazione di Tagliacozzo situata a circa 1170 m s.l.m. Il paese è ben esposto ai venti, tranne quando arrivano da SE, a causa della catena dei monti Simbruini. La zona è soggetta ad abbondanti nevicate, specie con l'arrivo di colate fredde dal rodano, mentre le estati sono miti e raramente si superano i 30 gradi.
